Coaches are invaluable in the development of an athlete’s skills. They are teachers and mentors for the thousands of young athletes they interact with in their day-to-day work. They work not only with athletes but also the athlete’s parents in setting realistic goals and the training required to reach their potential and their goals. All Skate Canada coaches are required to be trained and/or certified in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

Amanda is a former senior competitive skater and specializes in jumps and spins. She is also passionate about helping students connect to the creative component of their skating.

Teaches - Susan is currently coaching our Adult synchronized skating team, Luminice! She has coached skaters from STARSkate, to OUA level, to synchronized skating and has shared her passion for coaching across Canada!

Availability: Crystal volunteers her time Tuesdays and Thursdays to assist and oversee our programming. You will also see Crystal judging at Star 1-4 competitions!

Specialization/ Additional Skills - Having played hockey and figure skating, Crystal is skilled in helping our skaters so that they are ready for whatever skating path they choose in the future!
